Nuestra Historia / Our Story
More Than a Class.
A Return to Yourself.
"The body knows how to come home — it just needs the right conditions."
— Angie Gómez, Founder
Neera didn't begin as a brand. It began as a return — to self, to breath, to life — after a period of deep personal pain. Yoga didn't come to Angie as a career; it came as a lifeline. And from that journey through grief and reconnection, she built something she wishes she'd had: a space where healing is honest, embodied, and beautiful.
For over a decade, Angie worked as a surgical instrument specialist in orthopedic and trauma surgeries at Clínica Medellín — studying the human body from the inside, learning its architecture, its resilience, its limits. She is also an athlete: underwater rugby, open-water swimming, cycling, hiking. She has pushed her body hard. And as a mother, she has learned to hold space — for another life, for softness, for what truly matters.
Neera is the Sanskrit word for water — fluid, adaptive, soft yet powerful. The name is the philosophy: flow with life like water. Move around what is hard. Carve your own path. Return to stillness.
Today, Neera is a living community — bilingual, conscious, rooted in Medellín. Curious expats, digital nomads, and local Colombians who know that real wellbeing isn't a workout. It's a homecoming. Every experience is offered in both English and Spanish, for every heart that needs it.
Bienvenida/o a Neera. You are already home.
